Avengers 4 has officially wrapped after several reshoots of key scenes. Interestingly, Joe and Anthony Russo shared a curious new photo to celebrate the milestone, and it might be a hint at what to expect next year.
The Russo brothers announced that the highly anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel has wrapped by posting a mysterious image on Instagram. Take a look at the picture below.
There's not much to go on with this one but people are wondering if the bright blue light has something to do with the resurrection of the characters who disintegrated in Avengers: Infinity War. However, it might be confirmation of an ongoing theory involving one survivor possibly getting an awesome new weapon.
There have been speculations that Tony Stark will finally work on the devastating Proton Cannon that can be used against Thanos. However, the weapon is somehow connected to his best friend War Machine and could be added to James Rhodes' suit. Either way, it would be awesome to see Iron Man come up with something that the Avengers could use against the Mad Titan.
It is still unclear whether the Russo brothers are teasing the Proton Cannon in the Avengers 4 image so it's best to take the information with a grain of salt. For now, we can confirm that the sequel is close to completion and it will only be a matter of time before the official title is announced.
The Avengers 4 title has been something people have been theorizing about for a long time. Although some believe that Mark Ruffalo revealed that the film will be called The Last Avenger, it's possible that the title will be based on yet another comic book series. The popular theory so far is Annihilation but we'll need to wait for an official announcement from Marvel Studios.
Avengers 4 will premiere on May 3, 2019.
