The latest rumor for Avengers 4 is here and if it's true, it looks like the MCU has been invaded secretly. Apparently, the Skrulls will be making some sort of appearance in the next Avengers film, something fans have wanted since they were announced for Captain Marvel. Said rumor is the biggest connection yet between Avengers 4 and Captain Marvel, so this should get fans more interested in both of those films.
Sources have told MCU Cosmic that Fury paged Captain Marvel at the end of Infinity War since he thinks the Skrulls are involved with the mysterious disappearances. Viewers who've seen the film know that it was Thanos but if Fury thinks it's the Skrulls, the alien race might be more problematic than originally thought.
As if that wasn't enough, the rumor also claims that Hawkeye will find them in Tokyo. This will be the part where he takes on the Yakuza, possibly as Ronin, and these gangsters end up being Skrulls in disguise.
Of course, there are some holes in this theory. Why Hawkeye would question Skrulls about this when he could just ask Steve Rogers or Black Widow, his best friend, is anyone's guess. Then again, maybe the Skrulls know something about Thanos that the Avengers don't. Either way, fans should take this rumor with a grain of salt.
Avengers: Infinity War is now showing in theaters. Avengers 4 will come out on May 3, 2019. while Captain Marvel precedes it on March 6, 2019.
