Attack On Titan Video Game Gets A Sequel

Koei Tecmo have announced a sequel to their Attack on Titan game for unannounced platforms. The game is a follow up, to the 2016 title that came out on the PS4, PS3, PS Vita, Xbox One and Windows PC. Details for the game remain vague for now, though the developers are promising to build on the fast-paced action that the manga and anime are known for.

A teaser website for the game is available, though it only has a link to a trailer and an image of Eren Jaeger's Titan form fighting alongside his comrades. His Titan form was playable in the first game, so it looks like it might have a more prominent role in the sequel, which could be fun. Since the first game offered multiple playable characters like Mikasa and Levi, it's safe to assume Eren won't be the only one fans use in the sequel.

More details about the Attack on Titan video game sequel were revealed on the Koei Tecmo Facebook page:

Building on the fast-paced action the series is famous for and featuring an abundance of new gameplay mechanics, the gripping sequel will be released across America as ATTACK ON TITAN 2 in Early 2018.
Players will once again don the renowned Omni-Directional Maneuver Gear as they fight and repel the fearsome Titans that threaten humanity, to restore peace within the walls.

The first game covered the entire first season of the anime, before delving into an original plot. It will be interesting to see if the sequel covers the second season, though some fans might find that a bit lacking in terms of content. Koei Tecmo's first Attack on Titan video game is available now.
