Attack on Titan 2: Future Coordinates Sneak Peek With TV Spot

Even though this year's Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains hasn't really covered too much ground since it was released, there's a new title already in the works, and expected sometime this year even.

Spike Chunsoft's Attack on Titan 2: Future Coordinates has just received its first TV spot, and we finally see why exactly the game's releasing this year: the tie-in with the much-awaited anime.

The second season of Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin in Japanese) has so many secrets being revealed with each episode, it's almost hard to take in in one sitting. Take for example how many titans' identities we finally know and hints of what else we don't have been popping out left and right in the anime. Add the new characters (and discoveries in old ones) and you're pretty much ready for a new game.

That's what Attack on Titan 2: Future Coordinates is pretty much introducing here. The TV spot is still in Japanese dub with no subtitles in sight. But based on Gematsu's translation, we get a glimpse of a few of the mechanics.

For starters, players will be able to assemble comrades and create their wall. Of course, since it is an Attack on Titan game, there will be slashing of titans. What's in line with the second season is the Story Mode, which happens alongside the TV anime.

Those who are interested in multiplayers can still opt for World Mode, where co-op is available for up to four players.

Attack on Titan 2: Future Coordinates is slated to come out in Japan this year for the Nintendo 3DS. Just how long this season will run for the anime, we have yet to see but hopefully, the secrets that will be revealed in the game are just on point with the anime.
