Aquaman Star Jason Momoa Thanks James Wan and Zack Snyder for Film’s Billion Dollar Success

Aquaman is officially the highest-grossing DCEU movie worldwide, somehow managing to beat The Dark Knight and join the billion-dollar club. It's clear that Warner Bros. and DC are ecstatic about the news, with a sequel to the film likely coming in a few years. Jason Momoa, the star of this money-making DC movie, is pretty grateful as he thanked a number of people for the film becoming a huge success.

Unsurprisingly, he thanked two people who were vital to the actor's success. James Wan, who directed the movie and proved that DC doesn't always have to be dark, and Zack Snyder, the man who hired Momoa to be Aquaman and basically made his career, at least according to Momoa.

Wan hasn't confirmed a sequel yet, though given the money it's made we shouldn't be too surprised if one is announced, maybe with Wan returning as director. Snyder has been pretty silent after the death of his daughter, though he did announce a new production studio not too long ago. Let's hope that Snyder has a bright future as well.

It's cool seeing Momoa be grateful about what happened and we can only hope that things keep looking up after this movie. Momoa was supposed to star in a reboot of The Crow but that was essentially shelved and will likely be picked up by a different team, even though Momoa showed plenty of interest in this role.

Expect a sequel to Aquaman soon. Warner Bros. is likely planning a big Blu-Ray release for the film.
