Aquaman Star Jason Momoa Details His Batman Audition

Like most superhero movies coming out these days, there is a lot of hype surrounding the release of Aquaman, which has been getting pretty positive reactions lately. DC fans are hoping that the film can turn the tide, pun intended, for the DCEU, which has been in a pretty poor position lately since the financial failure of the Justice League. The film is coming out later this month and everyone is hoping it does well.

But, there was a time when Jason Momoa, the star of the movie, wasn't trying to be Arthur Curry. The actor had actually auditioned to be Batman for Zack Snyder's Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, something fans can't really imagine these days. To be fair, Momoa said that he actually didn't want to audition for the role since he knew a lot of people would be trying out for the role.

Still, it wasn't all bad since Momoa got to meet Snyder and get the role for Aquaman, which seems to be doing wonders for his career. Momoa actually thanked Snyder for the opportunity since he said no one wanted to hire him after his work on Game of Thrones, which is pretty surprising.

Now that people have praised the film after seeing it, we can only hope that the movie does well when it arrives later this month. If it does, this means that there will also be a lot of excitement for next year's Shazam movie and 2020's Wonder Woman 1984. Let's hope that the movie blows us out of the water.

Aquaman comes out on December 20, 2019.
