Aquaman Behind-The-Scenes Image Shows Jason Momoa With Temuera Morrison

James Wan's Aquaman is still a year away from release but so far fans have been getting updates from the cast who've been showing off the work that they've done on set. Amber Heard has been doing a lot of training to prepare for her role as Mera, the Queen of Atlantis and so has Aquaman actor Jason Momoa.

Now, taking a break from all the training, Momoa has decided to share a behind-the-scenes picture showing himself hugging veteran actor Temuera Morrison, the star that served as the Dothraki horselord's inspiration in becoming an actor.

For those who aren't familiar with Morrison, the New Zealand actor is internationally known as Star Wars bounty hunter Jango Fett from Attack of the Clones and Commander Cody in Revenge of the Sith. Morrison also played the part of Chief Tui, the father of the title character of the 2016 Disney film, Moana.

In Aquaman, Morrison plays Aquaman's human father, Thomas Curry. Check out the image of the two hugging down here:

Of course the photo doesn't really show anything revealing about the film. However, the photo does give fans an idea of the chemistry between Momoa and Morrison which could help making their on-screen relationship as father and son seem realistic and believable.

Aquaman is scheduled for release on Dec. 21, 2018, however, before swimming in his own standalone film Momoa will be starring with Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Henry Cavill, Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher in Justice League which premieres on Nov. 17, 2017.
