Another Rumored Celebrity Cameo In Star Wars: The Jedi Revealed

It seems like English singer-songwriter and Take That lead vocalist Gary Barlow isn't the only celebrity cameo in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

With so many stormtroopers and alien species going around, The Last Jedi can hide in number of big names for a few fun cameos, and according to a report by Making Star Wars, the film will add in The Leftovers actor Justin Theroux to its celebrity appearances.

Theroux is reportedly to appear as "an expert slicer" with at least one "pivotal moment" in the upcoming sequel trilogy installment.

Though there isn't any information on which side of the fence this "expert slicer" is in The Last Jedi, it's likely that Theroux's character won't have much screentime. While it sounds like he'll make some sort of significant contribution to the film's story, this is the very first time we've heard about his involvement in the film so his cameo probably isn't going to last for very long.

Here's a description of Theroux's character:

"His costume is pretty interesting as well. Imagine Indiana Jones' white tuxedo from Temple of Doom but weirder and with a Star Wars twist. Theroux's character wears a white tuxedo-style jacket over a black suit. His sequences fit into the casino section of the film where we saw Dubrovnik exteriors shot last year. If you're curious, take a look at those Dubrovnik photos and the extras dressed up there to get a better idea of his costume. He looks a little fancier than most and almost has a James Bond look about him.

We have heard there was an explosion during a sequence shot on the "casino" set at Pinewood and perhaps Theroux plays a part in that."

Since he's part of the "casino" scene of The Last Jedi, it's very likely that Theroux's character might bump into John Boyega's Finn, if the rumors are true. Let's wait and see what happens.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits cinemas on Dec. 15.
