America’s Star Wars Movie Searches Ranked; Idaho Picks Attack of The Clones

There were a lot of goodies during the annual May the Fourth celebration last week. Not only did the Star Wars celebration result in a number of discounts and sales in classic Star Wars videogames, it also revealed America's top ten favorite characters from the franchise and the favorite character for each state.

May the Fourth may be long over now, but it seems like another Star Wars data compilation has revealed a lot of interesting details about the country's perception of the popular science fiction franchise.

Reviews.org has managed to collect data and put in all eight of the full-length Star Wars films into Google Trends to see which installment is the most searched for film in each state in the US. The site has also managed to compile the information in a simple but concise graph. Check it down below:

The films from the Original Trilogy have done pretty well in capturing the hearts of the American people. A New Hope ranks first with 19 states searching for the original Star Wars movie from 1977. Return of the Jedi comes in second with 11 states by its side. Utah did pretty well for itself, staying classy and search a lot of Empire Strikes Back. Meanwhile, states like Arizona, Maine and Virginia constantly searched for The Phantom Menace. Idaho meanwhile is the only state to rally around Attack of the Clones. Weird.

Which is your favorite Star Wars movie? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below.

The next Star Wars film, The Last Jedi is scheduled for release on December 15, 2017.
