Alt-Right Group Claims Responsibility Over Kelly Marie Tran’s Bullying With Sexist Post

Though everyone knows that more often than not Star Wars: The Last Jedi haters lashed out at Star Wars actress Kelly Marie Tran because of the way the felt about her character, Rose Tico, it seems like a Pro-"straight white male hero" group has claimed credit for the online abuse of the star.

Taking to Facebook last week (via The Guardian), the group which also tried to sabotage the rating of Black Panther has decided to own up to bullying Kelly Marie Tran and forcing her out of Instagram. Posting on the site, the group gushed over its "success" saying that "it was bloody glorious" seeing Tran feel so terrible about herself that she had to leave Instagram.

According to the group's admin, it "warmed" their heart to see "true fans" taking the task of rising up against Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy and her "feminazi agenda" and her so-called "soldiers" like Daisy Ridley and Tran.

It's a pretty misogynistic post – one that hails from a side of the Star Wars fanbase strongly against the growing diversity in Lucasfilm's galaxy far, far away. Down With Disney's Treatment of Franchises and its Fanboys have always been a toxic bunch. Back in February the group was also taken down and reported out of Facebook after it went and created an event asking Facebook users to "Give Black Panther A Rotten Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes." Now it seems like the group has been kicked out of Facebook again, possibly because of its sexist post about Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Lucasfilm's latest release, Solo: A Star Wars Story, is currently screening in cinemas.
