According to insider Daniel Richtman (via SFF Gazette), Hayden Christensen is set to reprise his role of Anakin Skywalker in the second season of Ahsoka.

No details were provided surrounding the circumstance of his return whether he will appear as a Force ghost like in the first season finale, or he'll show up in another flashback-esque sequence similar to the fifth episode.

There is also no information yet regarding the number of episodes that Christensen may appear in, but if the first season is any indication, it won't be surprising if he'll show up in fewer episodes again.

So far, Lucasfilm has not made any comments on the report.

While the character's involvement in the story of the series may have seemingly ended in the first season finale where he appeared as a Force ghost briefly and proudly smiled at his padawan from a distance, it sounds like Filoni still has some plans for him to be part of the show again in some capacity.

If we can make a guess, the most possible scenario is that he'll show up as a Force ghost to guide his padawan and her friends while being stuck in Peridea. He could also appear in connection to the Mortis Gods.

There are a lot of potential ideas that they can explore with Anakin's potential return in the second season. Since it is still in development, it will take a while before we'll have more updates regarding the plans for the show's return.

The first season of Ahsoka is available to stream on Disney+.
