A Stuntperson Has Died On The Set Of Deadpool 2

It looks like Deadpool 2 will have to stall production for the moment as a stuntwoman has reportedly died while trying to perform one of the movie's motorcycle stunts.

TMZ writes:

"The rider, who was female, went airborne in Vancouver Monday morning during filming for the movie. Her bike crashed through the glass of a ground-floor studio inside Shaw Tower near Jack Poole Plaza. Witnesses say she never applied the brakes."

As of now, the identity of the stuntwoman is being withheld, and the Vancouver Police are currently looking into what went wrong. After the accident, the woman was brought to the hospital by ambulance; more details will probably be released as the investigation continues.

By the looks of it, the stunt was probably supposed to stand in for Zazie Beetz's character Domino. Set photos have had Domino and Cable together with Domino on a bike, and it looks like they were shooting some sort of chase scene.

There's no official word yet from anyone else on set, but with Ryan Reynolds being the face of all the marketing, fans are probably expecting him to say something about the incident. Along with this news, it's also been reported that Tom Cruise has injured himself performing a stunt for Mission Impossible 6.

Hopefully both productions will turn out okay.

Deadpool 2 comes out June 1, 2018.
