A Pokemon Master's Journey is Dangerous: Australian Police Issue Warning For Pokemon GO Players

Pokemon GO, the first Pokemon game to be available for Android and iOS devices was released yesterday, and fans are hyped about the game. My Facebook feed is swarmed with posts about Pokemon GO. But Australia's Northern Territory Police want to remind players that safety come first.

"[It's] a good idea to look up, away from your phone and both ways before crossing the street," read a post on the Northern Territory Police, Fire and Emergency Services' Facebook. "That Sandshrew isn't going anywhere fast."

It's a fair warning, with Pokemaniacs will no doubt get their eyes locked on their smartphones as they explore the wild searching for Pokemon.

Pokemon GO was released on Wednesday in the US, but those in Australia and New Zealand got a half-day headstart. Check out the cool screenshots from the fans here.
