Fortnite is hosting another Star Wars event around May the Fourth, Star Wars Day, which will kick off a day early on May 3. But that’s not the only Star Wars event fans should keep an eye out for!
As always, you can expect new Star Wars-themed skins to add to your collection, ranging from beloved characters to iconic gear.
Fortnite Star Wars & LEGO Event
Back in 2023, fans saw Clone Troopers guarding Mythic DC-15 Rifles and the reintroduction of lightsabers. So, we can expect these weapons to return, allowing players to wield their favourite colour-coded sabers and harness unique force abilities.
This year, Star Wars' latest collaboration with LEGO takes centre stage. LEGO Group teased fans with a tweet referencing "excited Wookiee noises," when they quote-tweeted Fortnite’s announcement post.
This got fans buzzing in the replies. Everyone is wondering if Chewbacca will be a playable character in Fortnite Battle Royale, LEGO Fortnite, and Fortnite Festival.
Epic Games now offers digital LEGO Kits in the Item Shop, allowing players to build pre-designed structures in their Fortnite worlds. Fans are excited about the possibility of these sets being inspired by iconic LEGO Star Wars creations.

Fortnite Star Wars Characters So Far
Fans are excited about the new character skins that will be added to the update. The Fortnite Star Wars skins collection is massive and has been growing steadily with each update.
Everyone is excited to know which characters will have updates and if any new characters will come from the expanding Star Wars universe.
Current character skins are from almost every era of the franchise. Here's a quick recap of the current Star Wars skins you can find in Fortnite:
- From the OG trilogy: Luke, Leia, Han, Darth Vader, Stormtrooper, Boba Fett

At the moment, characters from the Rebels/Ahsoka group have yet to appear in Fortnite, although they've appeared in both animated and live-action forms.

Other Star Wars Events to Look Out For
The Fortnite Star Wars event isn't the only exciting thing happening in the galaxy far, far away. This May, theatres are celebrating the 25th anniversary of The Phantom Menace, with a re-release of the film on May 3. The next day, May 4, you can catch the entire Skywalker Saga in theatres for 20 hours!
If you’re into the extended universe of Star Wars-related games, Star Wars Outlaws is also set for an August release. The Acolyte will also be available on Disney+ in June.
It's safe to say Star Wars fans have plenty to look forward to in 2024.
