2 More Hour of Devastation Magic: The Gathering Cards Possibly Leaked

Ahead of next week's Hour of Devastation previews, two more cards that appear to be from the upcoming Magic: The Gathering set have hit online, and one of them looks so powerful that if it turns out to be real, it will surely see play in Standard and most likely in other formats. A user from our MTG Facebook group shared a screenshot of possible leaked cards: Ramunap Excavator and Wildfire Eternal. Check them out:

Wizards hasn't revealed any new mechanics for the second set of the Amonkhet block but "Afflict" looks powerful enough to get damage through combat defenses. The crazy part here is Wildfire Eternal's ability when it's left unblocked: "Whenever Wildfire Eternal attacks and isn't blocked, you may cast an instant or sorcery card from your hand without paying its mana cost." How ridiculously good is that? If this is real, it would definitely see Standard play but the four-drop isn't as crazy powerful as Aetherworks Marvel so it probably won't get banned.

The green card looks like it belongs in some kind of combo deck that we don't know yet. There might be lands will be released that go well with it but right now, I just don't see it working on a competitive level.

So do you think these cards are real or fake? I guess we'll find out next week when the official previews begin.

You can check out the previously leaked cards here and here.
