Star Wars: Mark Hamill Pays Tribute To Harrison Ford For No Particular Reason

Happy Birthday, Harrison Ford! The Star Wars icon is celebrating his 77th birthday (!) on July 13 but Mark Hamill decided to pay tribute to the original Han Solo for no particular reason.

Hamill shared several photos of his original trilogy castmate along with a heartwarming caption. Take a look at his tweet below.

"SHOUT OUT to #HarrisonFord for no particular reason other than being a lifelong friend, redefining cool & for making everything he's in much better than it would have been without him. (That last pic is from the first day I ever met him, at my screen-test for #StarWars)," Hamill wrote. He added the hashtag #FabFord.

Ford has had a lengthy movie career that started with the 1967 film A Time for Killing (he had two minor roles before that but was uncredited). He would gain public interest for his performance in American Graffiti before he was chosen to play a stuck-up, half-witted, scruffy-looking nerf herder in Star Wars (A New Hope) in 1977. In addition to playing Han Solo in the Star Wars movies, Ford would take on the iconic role of Indiana Jones in another Lucasfilm movie Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Ford's is also known for playing Jack Ryan in Patriot Games and Clear and Present Danger. He was nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance in The Fugitive and has even played the President of the United States in Air Force One. Ford's most recent project was The Secret Life of Pets 2 where he voiced a dog named Rooster.
