Blood of Zeus is finally coming back with a new season later this week. Ahead of its premiere, fans are wondering if Persephone is evil in Blood of Zeus Season 2.
While Persephone did not appear in the first season, she made an impression on fans in the show’s official trailer. That’s because the trailer confirmed that the queen of the underworld will play a big role in the upcoming events.

It has been over three years since the first Blood of Zeus season, and fans will finally get to see its continuation with Season 2 this week.
Over the past few months, Netflix has been promoting the show at various events, including Geeked Week 2023. Just a few weeks ago though, Netflix released the official trailer for season 2.
This new trailer puts the spotlight on Persephone and Hades, the queen and king of the underworld. Their appearance in the trailer excited many fans, especially as they are poised to play big roles.
Even though there isn’t much info so far regarding the second season’s story, the new trailer does hint at Persephone and Hades being the antagonists of the series’ next arc.

Is Persephone Evil in Blood of Zeus? Fans Think She and Hades Are the Next Antagonists
Following the trailer’s release, fans have talked about Persephone potentially being a major antagonist, especially given her line “We’ll undo the injustices that we’ve suffered and take our rightful place atop the throne.”
This seems to indicate that Persephone and Hades will rise up against Olympus in the Blood of Zeus Season 2.
Strengthening this theory is the ending of Season 1. While Hera was defeated, the finale’s final scene shows Seraphim’s soul awakening in the underworld.
There, Hades offers Seraphim freedom from the underworld’s punishment if he swears fealty to the king of the underworld.
While Persephone is likely going to be the villain, it’s not clear if she’s going to be portrayed as evil given that she may have a more sympathetic characterization in this series.
