God Of War Director Pitches a Star Wars Film with All Droid Cast

It looks like other directors are coming to pitch their Star Wars ideas now that Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have announced their exit from their upcoming Star Wars trilogy.

Taking to Twitter, God of War director Cory Barlog pitched his idea for a Star Wars film in a series of tweets. The filmmaker wants to create a Star Wars movie taken from the perspective of droids with the project's main cast being made up entirely of robots.

"Ok fine, I'll do it," Barlog wrote in a post sharing an article discussing Benioff and Weiss' exit from the galaxy far, far away.

"But I am gonna change a bunch of stuff," the director warned. "First, it's from the droids' perspective. In fact, the whole thing is gonna be about the droids realizing how fucked up most of the humans really are."

It seems like a joke from Balrog, but the more the director tweets about it, the more interested he seems in the whole idea of a droid Star Wars movie. Honestly, the thought of having a droid-centric Star Wars movie seems rather interesting. We've seen droids trying to rise against their human overlords in Solo: A Star Wars Movie (thanks to the efforts of Phoebe Waller-Bridge's droid L3). It would be interesting to see it turned into an entire movie – after all, Lucasfilm is looking for ideas that stray away from the main Skywalker saga.
