To hype up the anime’s release next month, Netflix released a new Baki Hanma VS Kengan Ashura trailer that revealed the opening theme by Atarashii Gakko.
Along with the anime’s opening, the ending song was also revealed, though only the opening song was previewed in the trailer.
Still, the new trailer is a must-see for fans of both titles, especially as it features new action-packed clips.
Baki Hanma VS Kengan Ashura Theme Songs Revealed in New Trailer
Announced back in March, Netflix finally confirmed that the Baki Hanma VS Kengan Ashura anime is a movie that will be released worldwide this June.
The new trailer features lots of new clips, including fight scenes featuring Baki Hanma and Ohma Tokita. These clips also show off the animation by TMS Entertainment, the studio behind the Baki anime shows.
Also previewed is the opening song titled Fly High, which is performed by Atarashii Gakko, a popular Japanese girl group.
While this group isn’t a fixture in anime yet, Atarashii Gakko has quickly become one of Japan’s most popular music acts.
As for the film’s ending theme, the song is titled Don’t Stay, and it’s performed by the Japanese hip-hop/J-pop group Lead.

All You Need to Know about Atarashii Gakko
Some anime fans may not be familiar with the group, but Atarashii Gakko is currently one of the most well-known Japanese girl groups, thanks in large part to how unique their style is.
When you think of Japanese girl groups, chances are that you’ll think of idol groups such as the ones in Oshi no Ko. Instead, Atarashii Gakko has an unusual style.
Even though they have a high school theme for their outfits and appearances, the group has interesting songs with creative and unusual choreography.
Since the group’s debut back in 2017, Atarashii Gakko has quickly gained a big fanbase in Japan and in many other countries. They’ve become popular enough to have performed multiple times in the US.
Given their popularity, it’s no surprise that the group has finally been tapped to perform an anime song.

Netflix Reveals Baki Hanma VS Kengan Ashura Fights List
If the trailer isn’t enough to get people excited, Netflix also confirmed via X (formerly Twitter) that the movie will feature three crossover fights.
The confirmed fights include:
- Saw Paing Yoroizuka vs Kaoru Hanayama
- Raian Kure vs Jack Hammer
- Baki Hanma vs Ohma Tokita
Baki Hanma VS Kengan Ashura will be released on Netflix worldwide on June 6, 2024.
