When the final season of Attack on Titan started this year, fans have mixed feelings on the show as excitement and sadness merges knowing that the beloved series is about to end in just a short time. Currently, Episode 81 is upcoming and the first still and synopsis finally dropped teasing a shocking truth about Eren because he’s definitely not what everyone thought he was.
Tweeted by @AttackOnFans, the first still of Episode 81 along with the synopsis from the official website of Attack on Titan teases what comes next for Eren as it would shatter the image everyone has in mind for the past seasons as he takes on a radical decision in hopes of saving his homeland. Seems like Eren has truly changed after all.
Attack on Titan Episode 81 synopsis is as follows: "The earth rumbles and rumbles. A cloud of dust rises into the sky. A flock of titans is marching ahead. The island's walls are gone now. No one will be able to stop Eren until he exterminates the life that exists outside in the world."
In the previous episode, Eren started the whole thing after he saw the memories of Grisha and being able to personally speak to Ymir. Also, the Founding Titan is now speaking to Eren even though he has no royal blood on his veins. Episode 80 showed the new perspective of Eren which is to eliminate every life beyond Paradis that would threaten his people, a genocide to kill others to save more.

This is far from the Eren everyone knew of. He used to be a soldier who would save lives but now, he’s one who would spare no one just to be able to protect his people from threats.
Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2 Episode 81 can be streamed online through both anime streaming giants of Crunchyroll and Funimation, and it is available on Hulu as well. Premium access subscribers get a week of an earlier release as a perk for their subscription costing of $9.99 a month, or $79.99 a year, and in Funimation for the price of $5.99 per month or $59.99 a year, before the episodes gets released for free to the general public the following week.
