The Flash star Tom Cavanagh recently revealed that he is set to make a guest appearance in the final episode of Superman & Lois.
Last year, it was announced that the upcoming fourth season of the hit CW series will be its final one. It also marks the end of an era for the DC/Arrowverse franchise in the network.
Recently, the series officially concluded its production ahead of its scheduled premiere this fall. The plot details regarding the final season are currently being kept under wraps.

Tom Cavanagh Confirms Guest Role in Superman & Lois Final Episode
In a recent convention appearance, Cavanagh confirmed that he is set to guest star in the final episode of Superman & Lois.
Originally, he wanted to direct the finale but a director was already tapped to helm the episode. Instead, he was offered to make a guest appearance.
However, he did not provide any details on whether he will be reprising the role of Harrison Wells, showing up as a variant of the character, or playing an entirely different character instead.
"The finale for Superman & Lois was taken up already, and so I said, 'Well, I'm happy to not do it,'" Cavanagh explained.
"[Showrunner] Todd [Helbing] was like, 'Well, would you play a role?' So that's coming up for those of you that watch Superman & Lois, something that I'm happy to have done."
Cavanagh already had a history with the series as he directed the first season finale and the third season premiere. This will be the very first time that he will be making an on-screen appearance.
This news could be exciting for Arrowverse fans since it suggests a potential mini-crossover if Cavanagh ends up appearing as Harrison Wells and plays a variant of him in the show's own universe.
Fans are also now starting to theorize and speculate on which character will Cavanagh play in the final episode. Based on his The Flash role, the possibilities are endless on what character he could show up as.
