Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order: The First Purge Troopers Were Clones

We just recently got a new look at Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and the game will be introducing us to a new type of trooper called the "Purge Trooper" which specializes in dealing with Jedi threats. As it turns out, the first wave of these troopers were actually clones from the Republic era.

This was confirmed by EA Star Wars community manager Jay Ingram a.k.a. Charlemagne:

With the purge essentially starting with the clones, it would make sense that this form of trooper would exist very early on. I guess they just kind of lose their relevance after all the Jedi were eliminated—enter the Sith Inquisitors who seem to be a dominant presence in the game as well; not only do they hunt Jedi, but they also go after Force-sensitive younglings, as confirmed by Star Wars Rebels.

I'll admit, I think Fallen Order still looks a bit clunky based on the gameplay we have seen, but a lot of people who have tried the game have been saying nothing but praises. After years of just Battlefront games, I'm sure a lot of people are excited to get an action platformer in the same vein as Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order becomes available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC on Nov. 15.
