Star Wars: Ewan McGregor's Obi-Wan Kenobi Series Could Take Place After Revenge Of The Sith

People simply couldn't stop talking about the planned Obi-Wan Kenobi spin-off series that will bring back Ewan McGregor as the Jedi Master. For instance, fans are already wondering about the premise of the upcoming Disney+ show. Interestingly, the series could follow the events that took place right after Revenge of the Sith.

It seems like all aspects of Obi-Wan's life has already been explored, from his early years training under Qui-Gon Jinn (in the novel Master & Apprentice by Claudia Gray) to his final moments as he faced off against Darth Vader in A New Hope. However, there is still a huge chunk of Obi-Wan's life that could be revealed in the Disney+ series, which could mean we're all going back to Tatooine.

We already know that Obi-Wan spent the rest of his life in exile on Anakin Skywalker's home planet. However, the Jedi Master wasn't just content with living as a hermit. An episode of Star Wars Rebels confirmed that he had a different purpose on Tatooine.

In Twin Suns, Obi-Wan faced Maul again although the Jedi Master no longer had any hate for the villain for killing Qui-Gon Jinn. In the end, Obi-Wan managed to kill Maul, but not before revealing that he is watching over someone who he believes could be the Chosen One. The episode ends with Obi-Wan watching the Lars moisture farm from a distance as Luke Skywalker runs home.

The exchange between Obi-Wan and Maul somehow teased on the possibility that there were others who were looking for Luke Skywalker and that Obi-Wan had kept protecting the boy at all costs. Although it is unclear if this will be the premise of the Disney+ series, it's certainly a great idea that could pit Obi-Wan against more enemies.

The Obi-Wan Kenobi series has not yet been officially announced. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
