Zachary Levi's time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe may have been short-lived and disappointing but the "Gods" above obviously had bigger plans for him. Now, he gets to play the lead in the DC Extended Universe as the World's Mightiest Mortal Billy Batson aka Shazam! and so far, things are looking great for Zach as far as his superhero gig is concerned.
Speaking of Shazam himself, a few months back, director David F. Sandberg offered fans their first official glimpse at the new costumes of the Shazam Family and the response has been generally positive. And while the first costumes already looked good and comic book-accurate, the new suits have more of a DCEU feel to them, if that makes sense.
A video of Levi from the set of Fury of the Gods which was posted presumably by a production crew on the actor's 41st birthday has surfaced online and gives us a better look at the actor's new and upgraded Shazam! suit. Turns out, it isn't as subdued as some people initially thought and still retains the vibrance of the original costume. Check it out here:

The first Shazam! film was easily one of the best flicks the DC Extended Universe has ever produced and it's just unfortunate that it had to be sandwiched between Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame. I'm 100% positive it would have performed better given a different release date but it is what it is. At least we're getting ourselves a sequel, right?
Shazam! Fury of the Gods will hit cinemas in 2023.
