Lucasfilm Supposed Holiday Gift Sparks Speculations on Tales of the Jedi Project

We saw the debut of animated Star Wars projects this year such as Star Wars: Visions and Star Wars: The Bad Batch, but a lot of new details have surfaced that Lucasfilm could be developing a new animated project in the form of Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi. Several pictures have emerged online featuring the gift that will be given to the employees of Lucasfilm, with its packaging featuring the logos of different projects that the studio has been developing this year. While a lot of fans will recognize some projects like Willow, Indiana Jones 5, and Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett, the Tales of the Jedi logo has a lot of fans very puzzled. It is possible that this project could also be a live-action project, although the lack of information on such a project would make its complete secrecy seem unlikely.

A lot of fans of the franchise will recognize the title and logo, as the Dark Horse Comics published a series of different comics with the name in the mid-’90s. These comics that were released took place during the Old Republic era of the whole franchise and were part of the Star Wars Expanded Universe, with most of those stories now relegated to the Star Wars Legends corner of canon.

Although the only thing we can speculate from is a logo appearing on a holiday gift for the employees of the studio, there’s a that is not known about this project. Despite Disney relegating the events that happened on the Expanded Universe into the Legends mythology, Lucasfilm has begun embracing some of the components from those stories into the official canon. One example of this is the video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic – Remake. This game is currently in development and is considered to be a part of Star Wars Legends, which happens at the same time as the tales of the Jedi comics, which means the project could be some sort of tie-in to the release of the game.

Whether the project will be a live-action or an animated series, knowing that there will be another project that fans can look forward to is more than enough for the fans to be excited about what 2022 will deliver to the audiences.
