The chapter starts with a glimpse into Amai's past. It looks like he's with a bad group so that bullies won't target him. One day, while the other people with Amai were bullying someone, Itadori intervenes. They start attacking him because they think he's an ordinary student, but Itadori successfully beats them up. This is where Amai first meets Itadori.
Fushiguro and Remi are on their way to Shinjuku, and they're arguing about the route to take. Fushiguro says that going through Ikebukuro increases the chances of them encountering other players. Remi says it's easier to use that route, and her base is within the area. Itadori and Amai are at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theater, which is supposedly Higuruma's base of operations. Itadori starts heading inside and thanks Amai for the help. Amai asks if he's really set on going inside, but Itadori says he's going to be fine. As Itadori enters the building, Amai mutters an apology. Fushiguro enters, and the guy with long hair, Reggie, reveals that he isn't Higuruma and that Fushiguro's been tricked. Fushiguro gives Remi a threatening look, to which she says he doesn't scare her because Reggie is strong. Fushiguro then unleashes his Divine Dog to attack.
Itadori sees Higuruma inside a bathtub with his clothes on. He starts talking about how he stopped caring about many things, so he's trying to do things that are usually unconventional — such as taking a bath with his clothes on. Itadori deduces that he's Higuruma and starts getting straight to the point, saying that they want to remove the rule requiring killing each other. Higuruma refuses to offer his points to add the new rule. He wants to keep seeing how the game goes, considering its rules and all. Itadori then threatens Higuruma, saying that he will let them use his points to change the rules. The two of them prepare to fight.
