Asread makes an anime adaptation of the shōnen manga of Megami-ryou no Ryoubo-kun by Ikumi Hino, Mother of the Goddess' Dormitory, and it releases a new run every week as it belongs to the list of the anime summer slate. With the show about to come to a close will there be a season 2 of the series? Here is what we expect to happen after the end of season 1.
Mother of the Goddess' Dormitory follows the story of Koshi Nagumo who became homeless after his father abandoned him and his home being ravaged by a fire. While wandering the streets, he encountered Mineru who took him in, brought him to their house, and gave him food. He was also allowed to get a bath but when he was about to take one, he discovered that the place was occupied by girls.
Mineru had to explain to him that the house is the Goddess Dormitory for the students of Seikan Women's University and she is the interim dorm mother while they were still looking for one. Since Koshi is in dire need of a job for his sustenance, and without a home, when Mineru offered him to be the dorm mother of their place, despite being hesitant at first, he agreed not knowing the repercussions.
Mother of the Goddess' Dormitory is based on the shōnen manga series by Ikumo Hino, released in the Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Shōnen Ace in 2017. It is directed by Shunsuke Nakashige, written by Masashi Suzuki, characters designed by Maiko Okada, and music composed by Tomoki Kikuya.
Mother of the Goddess' Dormitory will only have 10 episodes as confirmed by the DVD/ Blu-ray release of the show. It releases weekly on HIDIVE with membership costing $4.99 per month, and it is not on the usual streaming giants of Funimation or Crunchyroll. There is no confirmation yet as to the English dubbed version.
Will There Be a Season 2 of Mother of the Goddess' Dormitory?
To date, there has been no confirmation yet from the producers or anyone related to the series as to whether there would be a Season 2 for Mother of the Goddess' Dormitory and it will still be reliant on the viewer reception of the show.
